What it funds
The Jobs Guarantee is a central part of the Youth Guarantee, supporting young people to take the crucial first step into sustained employment where earlier support and opportunities may have not worked. Under the scheme eligible young people aged 18–24 who have been claiming Universal Credit and looking for work for 18 months will be guaranteed a 6 month fully funded job. The Government will fund 100% of employment costs for up to 25 hours a week at the relevant minimum wage, alongside tailored
Who can apply
To deliver the Jobs Guarantee across GB, we are looking for organisations with relevant experience of working with long-term unemployed and disadvantaged young people, and an understanding of the local labour market conditions. DWP welcomes grant applications from a wide range of organisations with experience delivering employment, skills, youth, and wraparound support services, including but not limited to: specialist employment support organisations, charities, non-profits, and social enterprises, local authorities, Mayoral Strategic Authorities (MSAs). Delivery of the Jobs Guarantee should align closely with the goal or mission of the grant applicants, funding should permit successful organisations to advance their goal or mission. Delivery Partners can partner with – or subcontract to – other organisations to deliver aspects of the Jobs Guarantee. For example, it may be appropriate to subcontract the provision of specialist support which the Delivery Partner cannot provide themselves.
